Who is Nick Villa?
Experience
In addition to service with Haymond Law, Nick acts as assistant general counsel for a nationwide commercial property maintenance/management firm, in which capacity he has gained extensive experience in contract law, business entities and business planning (including business formation and dissolution), risk management, employment law, and a variety of other business legal matters. In short, Nick has real-world business and corporate legal experience. He knows how successful businesses are run and that competent, innovative, and proactive legal counsel is vital to that success. Nick brings his corporate counsel, contracts experience to Haymond Law in advising and assisting individual, family, and business clients on legacy and wealth planning matters.
Education
Nick attended the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and graduated in 2007. During law school he completed a legal externship with the Utah Attorney General’s Office and Utah Prudential Real Estate. Nick was an associate editor with the J. Reuben Clark Law School Journal of Public Law. He also attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received his B.A. in Economics.
Personal
Nick was born and raised in Chicago, IL but Utah is his current home. He volunteers his time with the Utah State Bar’s Wills for Heroes program and is active in the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Bar. He is a lifelong Chicago White Sox fan and likes to play golf and ultimate frisbee in his spare time.
